Supported formats

 

 

Ellié Computing Merge supports the following images file formats:

• Compuserve GIF (Graphic Interchange Format)
• JPEG (Joint Point Group)
• TIFF
• XPM
• BMP
• PNG
• ICO (Microsoft Icon File Format)
• TGA (True Vision / Targa)

Currently, for layered images the merged result is loaded. For animation formats (e.g. GIF), the first image is loaded.

By using converters, you can convert many other file formats to bitmaps and display them in Ellié Computing Merge in for viewing or comparison.

Some images are based on text file formats (such as XPM or SVG), if you prefer viewing them as text, use the files extensions field in Text Comparisons options.
